I Sultanul Rafid, completed my Master of Architecture at the University of South Australia, bringing with me a wealth of knowledge and over five years of invaluable industry experience garnered in Bangladesh. This professional journey has afforded me the privilege of contributing to a diverse array of projects encompassing residential, commercial, industrial, and interior design domains.

In addition to my both academic and professional achievements, I possess advanced proficiency in a comprehensive suite of software applications, including AutoCAD, SketchUp + v-ray, Photoshop, Illustrator, Enscape, Wondershare Filmora, and the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe InDesign, alongside a moderate proficiency in Revit. These skills are complemented by a fervent dedication to excellence and a profound enthusiasm for architectural innovation.

Moreover, I would be remiss not to mention that I respectively hold the esteemed title of a Registered Architect in Bangladesh, proudly bearing membership number R- 172.

RECONCEIVING KARWAN BAZAR (emphasizing vertical community and fish market for next generation)

The project is basically a hypothetical one. According to this project, we tried to re-accommodate the market area and develop the vertical community through different planning and illustration processes and create a breathing space into the second CBD area.

All About Md. Sultanul Rafid

Starting my professional journey in 2015, the desire to learn in site architecture that I attained soon became an unyielding obligation to myself to explore the inner mechanism of my creative consciousness. From small sketches to large scale projects, my professional style of architecture is a highly-personal reflection of myself.

I was fortunate enough to be able to do my internship in “Synthesis Architects” under Ar. Patrick D’ Rozario (Assistant Professor, department of architecture, BUET). However, at the end of 2017, I left a job from “Synthesis Architects” and joined “In QUEST Design Studio” under Selim Altaf Biplob (b.arch, MIAB, Partner-INQUEST DESIGN STUDIO(from 2019), Former Member, Professional Affairs 19th Executive Committee, Institute of Architects Bangladesh). As far as I am concerned, I have extensive knowledge of almost all types of software related to architecture. It is worth noting that, I spent a huge amount of time in my architecture practice learning not only presentations but also developing 2d drawings, 3d development, and many more. However, I have got my full membership number as a professional architect in 2019 from IAB (Institute of Architects Bangladesh). Finally, I would like to continue my architectural career with those who work with new challenges so I can learn new features and become an expert in architecture. All the works displayed under this particular section are property of “Synthesis Architects” and "In Quest Design Studio" with their team. I was an active member of both since 2015 and have had the good fortune to learn professional design.

CANYON

The 8-Storied with 03-basements commercial building consist of 4700.99 sqm built area which is located on a site area of 669.14 sqm.

NEW QATARI EMBASSY

Winner: International Competition

M & M RESIDENCE

M & M Residence is 5-storied private residential building for a single family accommodating 2273.71 sqm built area on a site of 669.14 sqm consists of lash green with outdoor spaces on multi levels with visual connectivity.

MANAMA TOWER

The 14-Storied with 02-basements consist of 6183.48 sqm built area which is located on a site area of 696.55 sqm

MANAMA VERTICALS

Manama Verticals is an apartment building located in the Uttara residential area at Dhaka. It contains 2 units each in every floor which results in a 18 unit apartment building

COUNTRY HOUSE

Country House is the Private weekend home for a family for yearly or monthly gathering accommodating 1670.12 sqm built area on a site of 5377.97 sqm area. This three Soried Country house a congregational space for get together of a extended family members.

I haven`t had the opportunity to do too many interior works in my professional life. Even though, i got the opportunity to do two professional interiors, that were overseen by "Bank Asia"

COMPETITION

I had the opportunity to work on two competition projects in my architecture life, where we own one of the projects named "Joyeeta Tower". Unfortunately, we didn`t get the project due to financial issues. On the other hand, the other project named "Health Complex One" was a giant one. I had learned a lot while working on this project.
